The First Milestone: How to Tie Your Belt Like a Pro Mastering the knot is a rite of passage for every new student. Here is the “Standard GB Square Knot” method:
- Find the Center: Fold your belt in half.
- The Wrap: Place the center on your navel and wrap both ends around your waist.
- The Tuck: Cross the ends in front. Take the top end and tuck it under both layers of the belt.
- The Knot: Take that same end, cross it over the other, and pull it through the loop.
- The Finish: Pull horizontally to create a firm, flat knot that won’t come undone during drills!
